Voting for the amending of the UCA constitution has taken place and been completed. At it's conclusion the results were that all four proposals were ratified. The proposed changes from the original are as follows:


1ST AMENDMENT: Changing Section 1.3b which states "Allowing the WA DELEGATE the authority to request, construct and close embassies with other regions provided consultation with the CHANCELLOR has occurred prior to action being taken" to now read "Allowing the WA DELEGATE the authority to request, construct and close embassies with other regions. This amendment shall take effect immediately after it has passed a regional referendum.""


2ND AMENDENT: Changing Section 3.1 which states "If a member of the Regional Government authorizes or executes the banning or ejection of any nation from the region justification for the decision must be made on the Regional Message Board within a period of 24 hours from the action occurring" to now read "If the CHANCELLOR authorizes the banning or ejection of any nation from the region, justification for the decision must be made on the Regional Message Board within a period of 24 hours from the action occurring. This amendment shall take effect immediately after it has passed a regional referendum." Also Adding Section 1.2d which shall read "Entrusting the CHANCELLOR to be the only member in the region with the power to authorize the ejection or banning of any nation. The PRESIDENT will be given the duty of executing the banning or ejection, he may only refuse if the order is in complete defiance of the Constitution. This amendment shall take effect immediately after it has passed a regional referendum."


3RD AMENDMENT: Changing Section 2.1b which states "Elections for the role of CHANCELLOR will occur once every four months, or more frequently if the presiding CHANCELLOR resigns, leaves the region, or is inexplicably inactive for a period of ten days or more" to now read "Elections for the role of CHANCELLOR will occur once every two months, or more frequently if the presiding CHANCELLOR resigns, leaves the region, or is inexplicably inactive for a period of ten days or more. This shall take effect on the 18th day of the month of September in the Year of Our LORD 2012." Also Changing Section 2.1c which states "No nation may serve more than one consecutive term in the role of CHANCELLOR except in cases outlined in 2.1f" to now read "Nations are able to serve more than one consecutive term in the role of CHANCELLOR, this shall take effect on the 18th day of the month of September in the Year of Our LORD 2012."


4TH AMENDMENT: Adding Section 2.2e which shall read "The WA Delegate may be impeached if both the CHANCELLOR and the PRESIDENT deem that the WA Delegate is unfit for office or has violated his Constitutional role. If he is impeached before the 14th day after he was elected, Section 2.2b shall be overridden and a Special Election will occur. All other campaigning and election rules shall remain in effect. This amendment shall take effect immediately after it has passed a regional referendum."" Also creating Section 3.6 which shall state "If the Chancellor or WA Delegate overstep their constitutional abilities and restraints the President and the other party (Delegate if Chancellor violated the Constitution or Chancellor if the Delegate violated the Constitution) are mandated to impeach the infringing party. This amendment shall take effect immediately after it has passed a regional referendum."

Regional News

Talks Concerning the Ejection and Banishment of the Sultanate of Hiradia have concluded, ending with the probationary re-admittance of Hiradia. Talks are still in progress for the organization of the regional Government, but they are expected to conclude within the next week. The Unified Christians Alliance is proud to announce that is has reached 40 Nations! With the admittance of the 40th nation the government has unveiled it latest change to the region, a regional capital! The Capital city of New Haven has been established in the oceans of our region. More detailed information on New Haven is available in the New Haven Assembly. The Christian Diarchy of Veronii has been selected as Secretary of the Treasury, we are certain that they will make us proud in their new office. The U.C.A now shares embassies with the Defender Alliance  and embassies have been requested by The Conservative Alliance.  The Crisis Response Center, home of the Department of Emergency Preparedness and Defense now has a working DEFCON or Defense Condition indicator present for easy assessment of the regional condition. 

World News 

Currently the World Assembly recognizes 16,773 nations and 1,247 regional delegates. General Assembly Proposal Number 171"Freedom In Medical Research" was approved Monday, November 21st, 2011 by a vote of 8,216 to 2,616. Security Council Resolution Number 74 "Condem Lone Wolves United" was also passed 7,649 to 2,104 Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011. Currently one new proposal (http://www.nationstates.net/page=UN_view_proposal/id=glen-rhodes_1322266466) is awaiting proposal for General assembly recognition.
